Reflection
I'm really excited about the electronic publishing that can be done with InDesign and I feel like this project was just the tip of the iceberg! My primary goal for the interactive portfolio project was to create something simple that let the content be the main focus. I also wanted to streamline the page layout and by making vertical orientation and horizontal orientation master pages, with specific areas for the description, objectives, and reflection, so that apart from the text content and images the pages didn't change much. Thank goodness for master pages, paragraph styles, and paste in place. I also knew I wanted to include a cover page with basic information and a contents page that showed (instead of told) you what was inside. Adding the hyperlinks, buttons, and bookmarks was all very easy to do after watching the lectures.
If I had more time I would (and will) go back to make the link to my eportfolio on the last page look more like part of the design. I might also choose to stylize my cover and contents page differently, I like them but it's probably something I'll revisit.
