Reflection
When you're working on an integrated marketing campaign no stone goes left unturned. Every tiny detail plays a role in the greater picture and becomes a moving part in the theme as a whole. Everything from a script for a radio spot, to the type of channels your demographic will see you in with the right context, and the color of the ingredients in your digital media needs to be thought through for consistency.
By far the greatest learning experience for me came from learning to create a video. The amount of production that goes into executing an idea is quite astonishing because in order for everyone else to realize your concept, the way you see it, you've got to show them your vision. What I'm talking about here is bringing an idea to life, then squeezing it into 30 seconds. There are hours and hours of preparation, filming, editing, and re-editing that go into making a 30 second commercial, not to mention the brainstorming, creative vision, and manual labor. Is it worth it? Of course, when you have an idea it just won't leave you alone until you let it out. |
